Brothers,
Welcome to a new year of fellowship and growth in God’s Word! Everyone is welcome—we are a non-denominational group seeking to follow Christ together.
Why Romans Matters
The book of Romans is Paul’s most complete explanation of the Gospel. Written to the church in Rome around A.D. 57, Paul longed to visit them and strengthen their faith. He wrote to
-
unify Jewish and Gentile believers under the grace of Christ
-
show that salvation is by faith alone—not works
-
explain God’s plan of redemption and how we live transformed lives.
Romans is often called the cathedral of Christian doctrine because it lays the foundation for understanding sin, grace, justification, and the life of the Spirit.
Key Points for Study & Prayer – Romans 1
As we begin, meditate on these truths:
-
God’s Gospel Power – “The gospel…is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.” (1:16)
-
Righteousness by Faith – “The righteous shall live by faith.” (1:17)
-
Reality of Sin – Paul describes how humanity suppresses truth and exchanges God’s glory for idols (1:18-23).
-
Call to Surrender – Pray for soft hearts to repent, believe, and walk boldly in Christ.
Let’s gather with open Bibles and expectant hearts as we begin this journey through Romans together. Iron sharpens iron—let’s grow stronger in Christ this year!
